Kannapolis Charter Academy will be a tuition-free public charter school educating students in grades K-8 who reside in North Carolina. For the 2016-2017 school year applications will be accepted in grade levels K-6. Subsequent grades will be added each year. Once approved, we will begin to accept applications February 2016. Kannapolis Charter Academy will be governed by the North Carolina Educational Foundation.
Kannapolis Charter Academy’s mission is to offer a challenging and individualized learning environment where parents will be involved in their child’s education, community stewardship is encouraged, and partnerships will be formed to integrate opportunities for real-world experience.
Charter schools are tuition-free public schools of choice, but each charter school is governed independently. Unlike traditional public schools, every charter school must demonstrate success, or it will lose its charter. Learn more about our Curriculum.
